Neuroscience Interests: I’m a fourth year majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Health, Ethics and Society. At the Patel Lab, I study how mutations in sodium channels can lead to epilepsy and how inhibitory interneurons contribute to seizure phenotype. Outside of academics, I love watching bad rom-coms, obsessing over Taylor Swift songs, and crocheting sweaters.

Neuroscience Interests: I am a fourth year majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in French. I am especially interested in studying memory and social interaction in the healthy brain and disease states. I work in the Cope Lab at UVA and am currently exploring how microglia may regulate social memory engram representation in the hippocampus. Outside of academics, I am passionate about scuba diving, sailing, aerial silks, dance, travel, and baking!

Neuroscience Interests: Hi! My name is Abhi Kodali, and I am currently the Vice President of External Affairs for Nu Rho Psi. I am a 3rd year Neuroscience major and Stats minor. I am also in the Hirsh Lab at UVA, currently researching dopamine’s role in olfactory sensitivity. When I'm not in class, I like going on long walks, shopping, listening to music, and trying new foods. I'm excited to meet everyone this year!

I am currently working on my DMP thesis in the Virginia Affect & Interoception Lab, where I study human physiological and psychological response to social stress. I am primarily interested in brain-body relationships, human behavior, and psychopharmacology. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, swimming, and taking care of my houseplants!

My favorite species to study are Dugesia dorotocephala (aka planaria)! Outside of academics, I enjoy doodling, playing the guitar, working out, and watching the latest action shows!

Neuroscience Interests: I’m a second year majoring in Neuroscience and Bioethics. I am interested in clinical neuroscience, neurological disorders, and neuroendocrinology. At the Beenhakker Lab, I am investigating circuit mechanisms of absence epilepsy and addressing related computational challenges. Outside of research, I am involved in VJB, SSA, PHE, Health Righters, and MRC. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing calligraphy, baking, and playing the dilruba.
