About Us

The Nu Rho Psi Chapter at UVA is home to some of the University of Virginia's most successful undergraduate and graduate scholars in the field of neuroscience. Our members are more than just students. We pride ourselves in having a diverse population of...

Passionate Researchers

Our members are conducting their own research on a wide range of neuroscience projects, from using electroencephalography techniques in social interaction studies to using chemical biology for neurological drug development. Nu Rho Psi at UVA gives our members the space to present their research and to hear from leading neuroscience experts from the UVA faculty about their research pursuits.

Engaged Community Members

Nu Rho Psi at UVA actively seeks opportunities to expose members of the Charlottesville and surrounding communities to the field of neuroscience. We are currently planning our annual neuroscience field trip for local middle schoolers, mental health awareness and fundraising events, and a neuroscience open research fair for the university community.

Enthusiastic Mentors

Our members lead by example, but they also lead through teaching and mentorship. Every spring, we host middle schoolers for a hands-on neuroscience discovery day with lectures, lab tours, and brain dissections. Chapter members also contribute their efforts as teaching assistants, tutors, and mentors to younger undergraduates looking to studying neuroscience.
